Attention should be paid to the construction of light steel keel partition wall

When installing a light steel keel partition wall, several key points must be carefully considered to ensure structural integrity and long-term performance. First, the top and bottom tracks should be installed along the ceiling and floor, providing a stable base for the entire framework. Vertical studs must be placed in the vertical direction, with additional framing around door openings to support the structure. In the horizontal direction, cross members or transverse keels are essential to add rigidity and stability. The installation process requires various accessories such as support clips, clip holders, corner brackets, connectors, and fasteners, all of which play a critical role in securing the framework. The top and bottom tracks should be fixed according to the layout lines, using nails, expansion bolts, or screws. The nail spacing should not exceed 600mm to ensure proper anchoring. When attaching vertical studs to walls or columns, they can be secured with nails, expansion bolts, or wood screws, with a maximum spacing of 900mm. The middle vertical studs should be spaced based on the width of the panel, typically no more than half the panel width plus a 5mm gap, and the spacing should not exceed 600mm. At intersections where two walls meet, the vertical stud at the junction must not be skipped to maintain structural continuity. Cross members can be fixed using support clips, clip holders, or connecting pieces. If necessary, blind rivets can be used, but electric welding should be avoided to prevent damage to the steel. Transverse keels should be spaced no more than 1200mm apart, and a keel must be placed directly over the seams of the cover panels to prevent sagging or misalignment. It is important that the keels are not cut or reduced in size, as this could compromise their strength. By following these guidelines, the light steel keel framework will meet all structural requirements, reducing the risk of quality issues caused by improper installation. During construction, regular inspections are crucial. These can be done through manual testing and visual checks to ensure everything is properly aligned and secured. Attention to detail during every step of the process is key to achieving a durable and well-constructed partition wall.
