Technical points for applying watermelon micro-fertilizer
Zinc fertilizer is commonly applied in the form of zinc sulfate and can be used as a base fertilizer, seed treatment, or foliar application. For base fertilization, apply 1 to 1.5 kg of zinc sulfate per 667 square meters (1 mu). However, it should not be mixed with phosphate fertilizers. For seed treatment, soak seeds in a 0.1% solution, or use a seed coating method with 1 gram of zinc sulfate per kilogram of seed. Foliar applications can also be done using a 0.01–0.05% zinc sulfate solution.
Boron fertilizers include materials such as borax, boric acid, boron magnesium fertilizer, and boron-containing superphosphate. Boron magnesium fertilizer and calcium borate are typically used as base fertilizers, with application rates of 20–30 kg and 40–50 kg per 667 square meters, respectively. Borax and boric acid are generally used as root dressings at a concentration of 0.01%, and can also be used for seed soaking with a 0.1% solution.
Molybdenum fertilizer, often in the form of ammonium molybdate, can be applied as a base fertilizer, seed treatment, or foliar spray. The soaking concentration for seeds is usually 0.05–0.1%, with a soaking time of 12 hours. Foliar sprays should be applied at a concentration of 0.02–0.05%. The best results are achieved during the seedling and tillering stages.
Copper fertilizer is typically copper sulfate. As a base fertilizer, apply 0.1–0.3 kg per 667 square meters. Seeds can be soaked in a 0.1% solution, and root dressings can be applied using a 0.05% solution.
