Inflatable life jacket three forms of appearance

Inflatable life jackets come in three main styles based on their design: the vest-type, scarf-type, and belt-type. The vest-type is commonly worn like a jacket, offering adjustable straps for a secure fit. The scarf-type resembles a neck scarf, designed to be wrapped around the neck for quick access. The belt-type, also known as an inflatable balloon life jacket or water safety belt, is worn around the waist and provides additional buoyancy. All inflatable life jackets are available in two types: manual and automatic. They are widely used by fire departments, maritime police, marine authorities, border forces, coast guards, fisheries, and other organizations involved in water rescue operations. The scarf-type inflatable life jacket is made from TPU material and comes in a bright yellow warning color. It weighs only 0.8 kg and includes a manual inflation device, a mouth-blown air pump, and a whistle for help. The automatic version features an automatic inflation mechanism. It can be put on in under 60 seconds, and when activated, it inflates within 5 seconds, forming a horseshoe-shaped airbag around the neck. A nylon strap and belt with a buckle secure the back and waist, providing up to 16 kg of buoyancy. This keeps the body upright in the water, with the head about 120 mm above the surface. These life jackets are ideal for long periods in water and are commonly used in military, customs, fishing, offshore operations, flood control, yachting, recreational fishing, hydrology, and water management. The vest-type inflatable life jacket is designed like a vest, with adjustable front and back straps for a customizable fit. Before inflation, it’s light and easy to wear. Once inflated, the airbag tightly wraps the upper body, and the air chamber distribution helps keep the person afloat with the head above water. Made from TPU and nylon, it has dual air chambers and uses either manual or automatic inflation, often with a 17g CO₂ cylinder. It is highly effective for both short and long-term water exposure. The belt-type inflatable life jacket is divided into manual and automatic versions. It complies with the IMO SOLAS Convention and holds a CCS certificate from the China Classification Society. It has been selected for major national projects such as Hong Kong, Macao, and Zhuhai. It is widely used by the China Communications Waterway Bureau, Salvage Bureau, and Rescue Bureau. The belt-style design allows for rapid inflation when needed. It includes a life-saving airbag with an inflation port, non-return valve, and gas cylinder. When activated, the needle pierces the cylinder, releasing compressed gas and inflating the airbag quickly. The folded design makes it easy to wear and ensures high safety performance.
