**Sanitary Centrifugal Pump Operating Instructions:**
To ensure optimal performance and hygiene, the centrifugal sanitary pump should be installed in the best position, ideally below the suction level. If the installation location is above the suction level, a priming device must be used before operation. Before starting the pump, always check that the impeller rotates in the correct direction. Make sure all inlet and outlet fittings are securely tightened, and the pump cover and seals are in good condition to prevent leaks.
Prior to use, the pump should be sterilized with steam to meet food safety standards. A butterfly valve should be installed at the pump outlet to control the flow rate effectively. Avoid operating the pump under overload conditions for extended periods, as this may damage the motor.
After each use, perform a CIP (Clean-in-Place) cleaning immediately to prevent residue buildup. If CIP is not available, manual cleaning is required. Start by rinsing with hot water, then disassemble the pump and clean all parts that come into contact with the material using a soft brush. Rinse thoroughly with clean water, dry, and reassemble carefully.
If you notice any material leaking from the pump casing, it may indicate a problem with the shaft seal. Check the mechanical seal for wear or damage and replace or repair it before reuse.
