What to do if the iron removal belt is always offside

During the operation of iron removal devices, it's quite common for the conveyor belt to drift off course. So, what’s the best way to address this issue? First, check and adjust the idler bearings. If all the idlers are properly aligned but the belt still veers off, you’ll need to focus on the driven roller bearing seat. In such cases, if the belt consistently drifts to one side, adjust the roller bracket accordingly in the direction of the belt's movement. If the problem persists, adjust the bearing seat of the driven roller in alignment with the device’s design specifications. While making these adjustments, always keep an eye on the belt's behavior. When halting the belt for adjustments, avoid stepping on it as this can disrupt the alignment process. If the belt is significantly skewed to one side, you can temporarily reverse its direction by swapping any two phases of the motor’s three-phase input lines. Once the belt moves in the opposite direction, bring it back to the center of the iron removal device, swap the phases again to restore normal operation, and then proceed with fine-tuning based on the belt's deviation. Adjusting a bidirectional belt conveyor is more challenging than a unidirectional one, so start by focusing on one direction first before addressing the other. When working with the iron removal device, carefully monitor the relationship between the belt's movement and its deviation. Begin by adjusting the driving roller and the directional roller, followed by tweaking the idlers and the material feeding point. Additionally, when splicing the belt, ensure even tension along its length, and maintain balanced forces on both sides when using a guide chain for traction. After a belt has drifted off and stopped, let it run steadily at the center of the iron removal device for at least two hours while observing its performance. If deviations occur during this period, address them promptly to prevent further issues. By following these steps, you can effectively manage belt deviations and ensure smooth operations of your iron removal system. It’s essential to remain patient and meticulous throughout the process, as small adjustments often yield significant improvements over time.
