Any purchase of gasoline that exceeds the limit will require the buyer to buy at the current market price. He also said that the distribution of the gasoline distribution smart card will be one for each owner of the private car license, instead of a previously rumored average of one smart card per family, and the major gas stations in Egypt will also be prepared for special gasoline pricing. Facilities to facilitate the use of smart cards to purchase preferential gasoline.

Experts said that the issue of gasoline distribution smart cards in Egypt is to cater to the IMF's negotiating request for assistance to Egypt. By distributing gasoline distribution through smart cards, Egypt can effectively reduce its annual huge subsidies for domestic gasoline prices. Allowing subsidies to be implemented more equitably to every citizen, and the Egyptian government has recently announced the latest government plan, which is expected to reduce the government deficit for the fiscal year 2013-2014 to less than 11%.
