Our country overcomes the world problem of lignite application

Recently, the Shaanxi Yulin Western Coal Technology Research Center used the lignite from Hulunbeier City of Inner Mongolia to produce high-concentration coal water slurry technology for gasification using self-developed low-rank coal fine dry powder, and successfully produced coal concentration in a self-made industrial pilot production line. At present, lignite is applied to coal chemical industry and its technology is a worldwide problem. The maximum concentration of industrial coal wet-process slurry produced does not exceed 48%. Some countries have tried to use lignite to improve the quality of cracking this problem, and have developed various methods to improve quality that cannot overcome the high cost barriers. The West China Coal Technology Research Center is aiming at the brown coal resources with nearly 100 billion tons of reserves in Inner Mongolia to develop high-concentration coal-water slurry technology for the preparation of low-rank coal fine dry powders for gasification, and conducts industrialized pilot tests on lignite from different producing areas in China. The concentration of coal-water slurry stabilized at more than 60%, reaching and exceeding the concentration of coal-water slurry produced with clean coal.

The Western Coal Technology Research Center used physical and chemical methods to break down the water-containing functional groups in lignite, making it unable to flow water and turning it into flowable water. At the same time, it used brown coal's own water to prepare high-concentration coal water slurry; it technically overcomes lignite Secondary water absorption; New chemical additives for pulping are developed; Optimized particle size grading through pulping to increase stacking ratio. The entire technology process is simple, the process is short, and automatic production is realized. The cost per ton of pulp is only 98 yuan, and the effective gas produced can reach 73%.

Datang Hulunbeier Chemical Fertilizer Co., Ltd. adopts the first domestic brown coal wet method to prepare coal-water slurry technology. The coal concentration is only 48%, and the coal consumption per ton of synthetic ammonia is large and there is no benefit. The company estimates that if the concentration of coal slurry produced per ton of synthetic ammonia is increased to 60%, the coal consumption can be greatly reduced, and the oxygen consumption and power consumption are also reduced.
