43 people killed by the 6.9-magnitude earthquake in the Philippines

A strong earthquake occurred in the middle of the Philippines on the 6th, killing at least 43 people. The Philippine Institute of Volcanic Seismology subsequently issued a tsunami warning and was later cancelled. The earthquake triggered landslides, buried many houses, damaged some roads and bridges, and made it difficult for rescue workers, medicines, and food to immediately enter the hardest-hit areas.
